Cookies Policy

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our site, what each category of cookie does, and how you can control them. It applies to the pages you browse as a visitor and to the lobby, cashier and account areas you use once you are signed in.

What cookies are and why we use them

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return to the site, your browser sends that file back to us, which lets us recognise your session and keep the choices you have already made. Similar technologies, such as pixels in our e-mails, local storage in your browser and the measurement tools built into our mobile pages, work in much the same way, so we treat all of them as cookies in this policy.

We set cookies for four broad reasons: to make the site function, to keep your account and our systems secure, to understand how our pages perform, and to measure the marketing we pay for. Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the suppliers who provide parts of the service, including our games platform, our payment and cashier providers and our traffic measurement provider. Those suppliers may only use what they collect for the purposes we have agreed with them.

Cookies that are not strictly necessary are placed only after you agree to them in the cookie notice on the site. You can change or withdraw that agreement whenever you like, and withdrawing it does not affect anything that happened while it was in place. How we handle any personal data collected through cookies is described in our privacy policy.

The categories of cookies we set

The cookies on this site fall into the four categories below. The cookie notice lists the categories separately so that you can accept some and refuse others.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off from within the site. They keep you signed in as you move between pages, hold the details of a deposit or withdrawal while you complete it in the cashier, balance traffic across our servers and help us detect automated or fraudulent activity. As a licensed operator we are also required to confirm that every account holder is at least 18 and is who they say they are, and these cookies carry your session through those verification steps.

Performance and analytics cookies

These cookies tell us how the site is being used in aggregate: how many people visit a page, which routes through the lobby are most common, how long pages take to load and where errors occur. We use that information to fix faults and to decide which parts of the site need work. Reporting is grouped together rather than presented as a record of one named player.

Functionality cookies

These cookies keep the preferences you have chosen so that you do not have to set them again. Examples include the display language and currency formatting shown in your account, whether game sound is on or off, your recently played list, and the fact that you have already dismissed an on-site message. If you refuse them, the site still works, but it will treat each visit as though it were your first.

Marketing cookies

These cookies help us measure our advertising and limit how often you see the same message. They record which campaign or partner link brought you to the site, whether a promotional message led to a visit, and how many times a given message has already been shown to your browser. Where a marketing partner sets a cookie of its own through our pages, it is listed in the cookie notice before that cookie is placed.

How to manage cookies on this site and in your browser

In the cookie notice on the site

When you first arrive you are shown a cookie notice with the categories set out above. You can accept all of them, refuse everything that is not strictly necessary, or choose category by category. The same settings panel stays available from the footer of every page, so you can look over your choices or change them at any point without contacting us.

In your browser settings

Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies independently of the choices you make on our site. The wording differs between browsers, but the steps are broadly these:

  1. Open the settings or preferences menu in your browser.
  2. Find the section covering privacy, security or stored site data.
  3. Choose whether to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear the cookies already saved on your device.
  4. Save the change, then reload our pages so the new setting takes effect.
  5. Repeat the change on every browser and device you use, as the settings are stored per browser rather than against your account.

Private or incognito windows normally discard cookies when you close them, which means the site will not keep any preference from one session to the next. Mobile devices also carry their own advertising and tracking controls in the operating system settings, and those apply across apps and browsers on the device.

Clearing cookies signs you out

Deleting cookies removes the file that holds your signed-in session, so you will need to sign in again. It does not delete your account, your balance or any document you have already sent us for verification.

What happens if you block cookies

You are free to refuse any cookie that is not strictly necessary, and most of the site will continue to work normally. Blocking cookies altogether is a different matter: without them we cannot hold a session, and the parts of the site that depend on knowing who you are will stop working.

  • Signing in may fail, or you may be signed out as soon as you move to another page.
  • Deposits and withdrawals may not complete, because the cashier cannot keep the details of a transaction between steps.
  • Games may not load or may not record progress correctly in the lobby.
  • Preferences reset on every visit, including display settings and messages you have already dismissed.
  • Faults take longer to find, as we lose the aggregate data that shows us which pages are failing.

Safer gambling tools are not stored in cookies

Deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusion are recorded against your account, so clearing cookies on your device does not remove or reset them. The same applies to a registration with GamStop. Our site is for players aged 18 and over. If you would like free, confidential support, GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline are there to help.

Changes to this policy and how to reach us

We update this policy when we add or remove a cookie, change a supplier or change the way a category is used. The current version is always the one published here, and material changes are flagged in the cookie notice so that you can make your choices again before anything new is set.

If you have a question about a particular cookie, want help changing your settings, or would like to know what data a category collects, write to us at support@casinoslotscharm.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. Please tell us which browser and device you are using, as that helps us give you an accurate answer first time.
